We've lived what we help you protect
Brandon and Jade Sowder grew up a few miles apart in Indiana, long before either of them had heard of Medicare or the ACA Marketplace. Life took them each through something that reshaped how they see insurance entirely — and led them, separately, to the same conclusion: every family deserves someone who's actually stood where they're standing. Today they run Sowder Insurance together under Mayfield & Associates, licensed across ten states, bringing that lived perspective to every family and business they work with.

"Hurricane Ian took our offices on the beach in a single day. Rebuilding taught me what people actually need when everything is on the line."
- Steward of a 35-year Fort Myers Beach business
- Rebuilt after Hurricane Ian
- Medicare & life experience, trained in CMS compliance
- Lives and works in The Villages
Brandon knows what it feels like to lose what you've built. For seven years he was the steward of Bay Pointe, a real estate, vacation rental and property management company that had been part of Fort Myers Beach and Bonita Beach for 35 years. Then Hurricane Ian took all of it, the offices and the buildings, in a single storm.
In the months that followed, he rebuilt his own home while helping his neighbors rebuild theirs. Standing in that wreckage with people he cared about, he saw how much the right protection matters, and how hard it is to get straight answers when you need them most. It changed how he thinks about insurance for good: protect what matters before life forces the issue.
So he made it his work. He got licensed in health, life and annuities and joined Tranzact, one of the country's largest direct-to-consumer insurance companies. Conversation after conversation, he helped people with Medicare and life insurance, trained under Medicare's strict marketing and compliance rules, and was recognized for doing things the right way. That's still how he works: every plan explained accurately, every rule followed, and nothing that isn't in your best interest.
Then it came home again. Hurricane Helene flooded his mother's house. The family moved her to The Villages, and Brandon and Jade followed so they could be close. Today he helps her with her Medicare, her doctors and making sure the benefits she earned over a lifetime actually work for her.
That's the same care he brings to every client. The neighbors he sees around The Villages are the same people he serves. You won't get a call center or a script, just someone who has been through it, knows this work inside and out, and answers when you call.
Whatever you've built, Brandon is here to help you protect it.
"I had to learn how to navigate insurance from a mom's side — for a daughter with Type 1 diabetes and celiac disease. Now I help other families do the same."
- 14 years building Full Out, her cheer gym community
- 11 years navigating a child's chronic-condition coverage
- Top-5 national sales rankings
- Lives and works in The Villages
Jade spent 14 years building Full Out, a competitive cheer gym, into a home for her community — learning firsthand what it means to coach people and show up for them consistently.
Everything changed when her daughter, Sterling — now 16 — was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at age five. That's eleven years of navigating chronic-condition coverage firsthand, long before it ever became her profession. Jade had to learn, fast and from scratch, how insurance actually works for a family managing a chronic condition — and later, when celiac disease and other autoimmune issues entered the picture too, how much harder that navigation gets. That experience became her reason for getting licensed herself: so other families facing the same confusion wouldn't have to figure it out alone.
Today, as an independent broker based in The Villages, Florida and licensed across multiple states, Jade works with Medicare beneficiaries, families managing chronic conditions, and businesses building group benefit plans. Her results have earned her recognition industry-wide, including top-5 national sales rankings and international achievement trips — though she'll tell you the real reward is the relief on a client's face when their coverage finally makes sense.
Jade doesn't just know insurance from the outside. She's lived the version of it that matters most — protecting a child with a lifelong condition — and she brings that same care to every family she works with.

Why we handle employer benefits differently too
Between the two of them, Brandon and Jade have owned and operated real estate, vacation rental, property management, and competitive cheer gym businesses. When they build a group benefits plan for a business owner, they're not guessing at what an employer needs. They've sat on that side of the table themselves.
